Your website journey
What to expect when you work with us
No surprises, no jargon, no stress. Here’s exactly how your website project unfolds, week by week.
Getting a new website can feel like a big decision — especially if you’ve been burned before or you’re not sure what the process involves. We get it. That’s why we’re completely transparent about how we work.
Below is a week-by-week breakdown of what happens from the moment you get in touch to the day your site goes live — and what happens after that.
01
This is where we get to know your business. We’ll have a relaxed, no-jargon conversation — either over the phone, on a video call, or in person if you’re local. We want to understand what your business does, who your customers are, what problems they face, and what makes you different.
We’ll also look at your competitors, your industry, and what’s working well in your space. This research informs everything that follows — from the words on your site to the way it’s structured.
What you’ll receive
StoryBrand messaging framework for your business
Sitemap and page structure
Competitor and industry research notes
Content outline for every page
You don’t need to prepare anything. We ask the questions. You talk about your business. That’s it.
02
This is where most web designers ask you to “send over your content”. We don’t. We write it for you. Using the StoryBrand messaging framework from phase one, we craft every headline, paragraph, and call to action so your website speaks directly to your ideal customer.
The copy is written to convert — not just to sound nice. Every section has a purpose: build trust, address concerns, show proof, and guide the visitor towards taking action.
What you’ll receive
Full website copy for every page
Headlines, subheadings, and calls to action
Testimonial placement and social proof strategy
SEO-optimised page titles and descriptions
We’ll send you the copy to review. Most clients are surprised how little needs changing when the research is done properly.
03
Now the visual work begins. We design your site section by section, building each page with your approved copy already in place. This means the design is driven by the message — not the other way around.
Your site is built on WordPress with a modern stack, meaning it’s fast, secure, and easy to maintain. We handle all the technical setup: responsive layouts, image optimisation, contact forms, and anything else your business needs.
What you’ll receive
Fully designed and built WordPress website
Mobile-responsive across all devices
Contact forms and booking integrations
Image sourcing and optimisation
We share progress as we go. You’ll see the site taking shape and can give feedback at every stage.
04
We send you a preview link so you can see your new site on your phone, tablet, and desktop. Take your time. Click every link. Read every word. Show it to someone you trust and get their honest opinion.
We then make any revisions together. This isn’t a single round of feedback with a deadline — we keep refining until you’re happy with it. Most clients need very few changes at this stage because the groundwork was solid.
What you’ll receive
Preview link to review on all devices
Revisions until you’re happy (Growth & Premium)
Final content and image adjustments
Cross-browser and speed testing
There’s no rush. We’d rather get it right than get it live.
05
When you’re happy, we launch. We handle the domain connection, SSL certificate, hosting setup, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and your Google Business Profile link. Everything is tested one final time on the live server.
We then walk you through how to make basic changes yourself if you want to — or you can leave it all to us on a care plan. Either way, you’re never on your own.
What you’ll receive
Live website on your domain
SSL security certificate
Google Analytics and Search Console setup
Google Business Profile connected
30-minute walkthrough call
Launch day should feel exciting, not stressful. We make sure everything is perfect before we flip the switch.
06
We don’t disappear after launch. Your website needs occasional updates, security patches, and content changes — and we’re here for all of it. Our care plans start at £75/month and keep your site fast, secure, and up to date.
As your business grows, your website can grow with it. New services, new pages, seasonal changes, blog posts — we handle it all so you can focus on running your business.
What you’ll receive
UK managed hosting and daily backups
WordPress and plugin updates
Security monitoring and malware scans
Content changes and additions
Priority support when you need it
Most of our clients stay with us for years. That says more than any testimonial.
Common questions
Anything else you’d like to know?
How long does the whole process take?
Typically 3–5 weeks from our first conversation to launch. Some projects are quicker, some take a little longer depending on complexity. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront.
What do I need to provide?
Just your time for the initial conversation and feedback on the drafts. We handle the research, writing, design, and technical setup. If you have logos, photos, or brand guidelines, great — but we can work without them.
How much does it cost?
Our Starter package is £995 for a 5-page site. Growth is £1,995 for up to 10 pages with StoryBrand messaging and advanced SEO. Premium starts at £3,500+. We’ll recommend the right option after our initial chat.
Do I need to know anything technical?
Not at all. We handle everything. If you can send an email, you have all the technical skill you’ll ever need.
What if I already have a website?
No problem. We can redesign and rebuild it, keeping any content worth saving. We’ll also make sure your Google rankings are preserved during the switch.
What if I’m not happy with the design?
We share progress throughout, so there are no nasty surprises. But if something isn’t right, we revise it. We don’t launch until you’re proud of it.
Do you work with businesses outside North Yorkshire?
Yes. Most of our communication happens over video call, so location isn’t a barrier. That said, we love working with local businesses and meeting face to face when we can.
The first step is just a conversation
No commitment, no pressure. Just a friendly chat about your business and what you’d like your website to do.
